Our Story
Serving Houston since 1969
Parkway Baptist Church has been a part of the Houston, Mississippi community for over half a century. Founded in 1969, our church has gathered each Sunday to worship God, study His Word, and share the love of Christ with our neighbors.
As a Southern Baptist church, we are part of a larger family of churches cooperating to take the gospel across our community, our country, and the world.

What We Believe
Our Faith
We hold to the historic, biblical faith of the Southern Baptist tradition, summarized below in plain language.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — our supreme authority for faith and life.
God
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — a free gift that cannot be earned.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, grow in faith, share the gospel, and serve one another in love.
Our Mission
As a Southern Baptist church, we exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ and to share His love with Houston, Mississippi, and the world.
